I actually learned how to read computer documents from reading IBM manuals, so I have a healthy respect for them as well. However, I also spent a couple of years using the first versions of the OS/2 documentation (in which the result codes from APIs were often reversed, leading to some really interesting debugging sessions) and so that's been tempered with a little bit of "see if it makes sense". From: Booth Martin I've always assumed that but have always been uneasy so I generally do as Tony does - belt *and* suspenders. Long ago I learned that IBM usually meant exactly what they say; so there has always been an uneasiness in the back of my mind about it.
