Works just as well in fixed-format; you can even use an indicator in
positions 71-72.

That is correct.  In fact, if there are multiple records that match the
keylist, and you want to delete them all, you have to CHAIN/READE to each
one of them before deleting them.

Much different from the SQL DELETE function.
