Subject: Calling a procedure from CLLE

Hi all,
I have a variable of *CHAR(3) in CLLE.
I need to convert it into decimal 3,0 in order to call an external
procedure.
How can I do it?

I really do not want to change the procedure to accept char(3) and
convert
it into a decimal as this is used in a lot of places.

Any help is greately appreciated.
