afaik you can't update two tables at the same time. but though i might be wrong.

why don't you just write two sql statements, one for each table.

Betreff: Doubt in SQL

Hi friends,

 I have a dbt.

 I have 2 tables a and b with a1,a2,a3 and b1,b2,b3 columns

As of now I have a1,b1,b2 and b3. a2 and a3 are zeros.

 Now I need to move the values of b2 and b3 to a2 and a3 when a1 = b1.
How to write a query for that??

I used

update devmrr/cmsslsf, devmrr/cmspvsf set slsgrpnum = pvsgrpnum , sl

ssgrpnum = pvssgrpnum where slspaxnum = pvspaxnum

This is the error message I am getting

*Token , was not valid. Valid tokens: SET*
So can't i use two table names in update statement?
