and modified the code as below to link only two sheets as an experiment. hssf_formula(row:04: '(NAIC10!gwp02_c+NAIC12!gwp04_c)':Numeric); Where it blew up with the following: Hmmmm, ?
You have the right idea! and the idea WILL work when you get your code right. The problem with this is that it's looking for cells named "gwp02_c" since you passed the WORD "gwp02_c" instead of the value of the variable.
If you can get the code to generate the string so that it looks just like the one you had previously hardcoded, you'll be set.
It may be easier if you put it in an intermediate VARYING variable. For example:
midrange.com
myVar = '(NAIC10!' + gwp02_c + '+NAIC12!' + gwp04_c
+ gwp04_c' + ')';
That way, you can display the contents of myVar in debug and make sure it
contains the formula as you want it to appear in the spreadsheet. Then
you can pass myVAr to hssf_formula when you know you've got it right.
