It's too large to look at in this forum but - I have some old structured "fill in the subroutines" kind of code that works well with sql and truly mimics the cycle. I have also worked with Ted Holts "special file" concepts to use sql to provide data to the program but still allow the file to be defined as input primary. The level breaks still work in the original program and, if you really want, to you can still leave the files programmed defined. I know this sounds old, but if you still have some old s36 #gsort stuff, and you just want to get rid of the OCL and move the data retrieval to sql this works well (assuming the file has been externally defined).
