...Bruce Vining...stat() is exported from *srvpgm QP0LLIB1 which is in the 
QUSAPIBD *bnddir.   The *bnddir QC2LE should not, strictly speaking, have been 
necessary in  order to use stat().  stat(), however, does utilize errno so, if 
you wanted to use errno in determining the cause of a problem, then you most  
likely would have used QC2LE.
