You can use the Excel wizard in iSeries Access.

You can write Java code ising JExcel or POI to make a true .xls file and use
FTP or a shared IFS directory to make it accessable to Excel.

You can write it out to a CSV file using CPYTOIMPF and use FTP or a shared
IFS directory to make it accessable to Excel.
