I think the following will work, by qualifying each file AS something else
ROUTEFILE/TESTLIB AS A LEFT OUTER JOIN TO ROUTEFILE/PRODLIB AS B WHERE
A.PARTNUMBER =
B.PARTNUMBER AND B.D = "X"

Can anyone help me with the proper syntax to join to files with the same
name that reside in different libraries? I would also like to update the
first file. For example:
ROUTEFILE/TESTLIB LEFT OUTER JOIN TO ROUTEFILE/PRODLIB WHERE PARTNUMBER =
PART NUMBER AND FIELD D IN ROUTEFILE.PRODLIB = "X"
Thanks
