All you need to do is create a cursor with your SQL statement in it and process the results of the cursor. There should be examples of cursors in the archives. I have a file DISKA, with the DDS as follows FIELD-A 3 FIELD-B 30 FIELD-C 180 FIELD-D 5 5 Within STRSQL, I know you can type the following command SELECT FIELD-B, FIELD-D, count(*) FROM DISKA GROUP BY FIELD-B, FIELD-D ORDER BY FIELD-B, FIELD-D and the result would be a display of unique groups with a count of records within each group. Now my question is, how could I (if its possible)code this as embedded SQL, so that I can retrieve and display the data/results in a sub-file? My experience with embedded SQL leaves a lot to be desired, and I'm not too sure how to handle this. Thanks in anticipation Alan Shore NBTY, Inc (631) 244-2000 ext. 5019 AShore@xxxxxxxx
