I couldn't tell you if it's an error with the BIF or not... but I wanted to suggest try breaking it up to see if it works that way. C Eval CatPath = %trim(CatPath) + C 'cat=' C Eval CatPath = %Trim(CatPath) + C %trim(%editc(CatArr(i):'Z')) C Eval CatPath = %Trim(CatPath) + '&' I know that it's added code, but if this doesn't work, you may be able to find out way with it broken out. Also, verify that the EditC is in fact a 'Z' on that machine. PM Please respond to RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries <rpg400-l@midrang e.com> I am working with a customer who it appears seems to have a problem with the %trim BIF. The statemenat is: C eval CatPath = %trim(CatPath) + C 'cat=' + C %trim(%editc(CatArr(i):'Z')) + C '&' On my V5R2 machine and some other V5R3 machines it works great, but on this particular V5R3 machine it's like the %trim BIF doesn't do anything. He gets: cat=100 &cat=ACE & It should be: cat=100&cat=ACE& Very weird. -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
