Here is how I did a dropdown box in an A/P application. http://tinyurl.com/kczwwThe user can mouse-click the "F4" next to the main-screen field, or move the cursor to the desired field and press F4. This will display the small window with a subfile of choices. Notice the scrollbar? The subfile can be scrolled easily with the mouse, and the user can click a selection. Once selected/clicked, the value is returned to the calling program and inserted in the field.
The program itself is stand-alone, so anywhere else in the application a dropdown box is needed for the A/P Terms value, it can just be called, no new programming needed.

Hi all I'm trying to add a little "graphical" experience for the users of an app that I've developed and I need some advice on how to proceed Basically it's very simple, a subfile that displays a number of records and one input field in the control format. There are also F3 to exit, F12 to step back User enters a value in the field and it is displayed in the subfile. Based on that value the user enters a new value or an option. When an option is to be entered the field is protected and the user presses F4 and can chose an option in a window (subfile). The result is returned to the field in the main window, user presses enter, option ends up in the subfile and based on that.....etc Number of options that can be displayed when user presses F4 is basically unlimited but will most likely never be more than 20. I want the user to get the experience of a drop down box, to chose one option from. Now I've looked at SFLSNGCHC Can I use it as a "field" in the main window?SNGCHCFLD I'm thinking of this one, with indicators on the choice keyword and 20 variables to fill, feels a bit.....hmmmI would be very grateful for some advice I've tested the SNGCHFLD but I can not make it appear as a drop down box, how can I do that, is it possible?
