If you use a spaceb(1) - doesn't that say "move down one line and print this stuff" ?
My guess is that you are actually printing everything one line lower than you think. When you write the first line you are dropping a line and then printing. This will occur for every line thereafter. When you get to the 66th line you will attempt to drop to line 67 and print. Try using spacea(1) instead.
