Re: Excel Integration

Just a thought off the top of my head.  Could you set up two holding files,
one for downloading and one for uploading?  When someone needs to get data,
they can enter Excel, Data --> Transfer Data From iSeries.  Save that data,
then go do their editing.  When done, they could go back to Data -->
Transfer Data To iSeries.  but uploading to the other file.

Maybe that's too much.  Just it's just a thought.

I'm fairly desperate to have my RPG programs interact with Excel
spreadsheets so field people can do their budgeting off-line.
I need to be able to create the workbook and later be able to read
rows/columns from it. Simple .csv files are not going to cut it.

Does anyone know of an iSeries/Excel product that fits the bill?

Any help will be appreciated.
