Constants don't have types.

If you want to create a symbolic variable, create a standard variable
and initialize it (using INZ).

D  successful     S               n   inz(*on)

FWIW: If the test you intend to perform is something like: if
(function() == successful), then I would suggest you simply use the
boolean return value ... so it would be if (function()).
