Michael, the reason for setting the size and page values to the same is due to attempting to "display" data that is more than 9,999 records long. I try to code this way as much as possible. When you code a sub-file where size and page values are NOT equal, and an attempt is made to display the 10,000 th record, NO CAN DO, unless you re-configure the program to start at the 10,000th record on forward. NOT very nice, and the users were not too happy about the jumping through hoops that they had to do for this. Alan
