Short answer "No". Long answer, what I do is this: /IF DEFINED(DEBUG) C eval dbgFound = %Found /endif Then when I need to debug and determine the value of %FOUND, I compile with the DEFINE(DEBUG) parameter on my CRTBNDRPG command. That way the code is inserted only when the DEBUG symbol is defined and I can step into it and thus see the value of %FOUND. Of course you have to do this for every file built-in function and also declare a "dbgXXXX" variable for each of them as a "1N" variable. -Bob Cozzi www.RPGxTools.com RPG xTools - Enjoy programming again. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of BSchwar@xxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, April 14, 2006 9:12 AM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Debug %found and other BIFs Is there a way to view the results of %found or other BIFs when debugging. For example ... eval *in21 returns a '0' or '1' Bob Schwartz Systems Analyst Information Systems Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick Campus
