Will the host variables be "put in their proper place"? Yes. Will you be able to then see it by doing some display of FetchSql? No. Should it matter? Not normally. What if you're anal about it? I suppose instead of the constant you could concatenate a bunch of strings together and use that instead of host variables on your select statement.
