Terminal emulator programming is new to me. I'm still trying to figure out the different between 5250 and VT100. is 5250 a sub-class of VT100?
No. 5250 is an IBM terminal, VT100 is a DEC terminal. There's absolutely no relationship between them, other than both being terminals :)
