Joel,Thanks a bunch for your assistance. I think I will follow the tutorial entitled "Embedding SQL in /free". I think it will be good for me considering the fact that I love free format RPG though it has its own set of limitations. Thanks again for all your help and feel free to throw any advice at me that you think will be helpful for me to get better at RPG. I think I finally started to like RPG and began to understand its huge potential.
Mike.

HI I Need to update some data in a logical, however as a work file. They can remove some records from the display subfile that would be sent.My normal thought was to do a CPYF prior to subfile display. then in subfile, the user can 'delete' records. But it seems to make more sense to do an embedded SQL, bec. the CPYF would take a while I think. Is this correct way to do it? > Hi Mike, >> I have a few articles on Embedding SQL in RPG, they may be of assistance.> You can find them at > http://www.rpgnext.com/tutorials.php > > Near the bottom of the list. > > HTH, > > -- > Joel Cochran > http://www.rpgnext.com > > > On 3/14/06, Mike Troxclaire <mike_troxclaire@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: >> >> Hello Gurus, >> I am a novice RPG programmer.
