Rob - thanks for the link. I did read thru these yesterday. We did find that the ptf's within 5722-ST1 were not the same and that is why the compile worked on some
partitions and failed on others. IBM has had multiple ptfs and
supercedes for this problem, and some of the workarounds in the ptf cover
letters, apars don't work (we tried..) depending upon which ptf's were loaded. we updated all the partitions for the latest ptfs for this problem & compiling now works.

sqlrpgle compile diff between partitions






Trying to determine whats different between 2 partitions.
All at V5R3 and all (i'm told) at same ptf levels)
Compile always overrides target release to V5R1M0
Pgm compiles on original partition.
Pgm does not compile on new partition (but many other sqlrple's have
compiled on new partition.
Error doesn't like variable name same as field name
