partitions and failed on others. IBM has had multiple ptfs and supercedes for this problem, and some of the workarounds in the ptf coverletters, apars don't work (we tried..) depending upon which ptf's were loaded. we updated all the partitions for the latest ptfs for this problem & compiling now works.
