The mileage has to be based upon HHG miles for billing purposes, and it
would take longer to do so over the web than storing it internally.

Doesn't a mapping company (mapquest, google map, yahoo map, etc.) or the
USPS or something have that data already in a web service? To me, that
would make more logical sense than storing all of the data yourself.
