First, thanks for everyone's assistance in this,

It seems that the problems that I had been experiencing with the code were
related to OS release levels. Once I migrated the code from a box with V5R1M0
to one that had V5R3M0, everything worked fine. Which leads me to another
question: Does anyone know if there is a PTF that will allow me to run the
QimgcvtImg API on a release lower than V5R3M0? Again, thanks for everyone's
input.

  Al
