This comes up alot.  Someone should make a faq or wiki entry.

Used to be a company that peddled a product to do this.

Another method is to hope like crazy that they turned the right level of 
debug on when they compiled it and try to debug it.

Also, if it's third party, you could pay your maintenance bill and get the 
update.
