See if this works:

Fd=write(RC2:%addr(stringvalW): (%Len(%Trim(stringvalW)) + CRLF))

I'm writing records to a stream file opened up as follows:

O_WRONLY          C                   2
D O_CREAT C 8 D O_CODEPAGE C 8388608 D S_IXUSR C 64 D CRLF c const(X'0D25')

RC2=open(TempStmfFile:O_CREAT+O_WRONLY+O_CODEPAGE
         :S_IWUSR
         :819);

StringValW = %TrimR(StringVal) + CRLF; Fd=write(RC2:%addr(stringvalW):%Len(%Trim(stringvalW)));

The write is inside of a loop. The problem I'm having is sometimes lines
are being appended as opposed to being written on a new line. Or at
least that's what it looks like when I view the file. For instance if I had the following?

StringVal = 'LINE 1                   ';
StringValW = %TrimR(StringVal) + CRLF;
Fd=write(RC2:%addr(stringvalW):%Len(%Trim(stringvalW)));

StringVal = 'LINE 2    ';
StringValW = %TrimR(StringVal) + CRLF;
Fd=write(RC2:%addr(stringvalW):%Len(%Trim(stringvalW)));

The output in the IFS file reads as follows:
LINE1 LINE2

I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas? Would I be
better off using O_TEXTDATA in place of O_CODEPAGE if I was dealing with
a text file/HTML file?
Thanks,
Griz
