Rob, try the EXTFILE(fname) keyword. http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/topic/books/sc0924 51.pdf For iSeries files I you use the keyword REMOTE and then you have to set up server parameters in menu Server. When you open the remote file it looks in the server configuration. You can also specify *REMOTE copy books.
