Would this still be true for a *ASYNC connection that uses icf?  We've
two different apps that doing connection to the paging terminal.
There are error conditions which will terminate the RPG program and leave CD asserted at the modem, thus leaving the connexion open. The only 100% sure way to close the connexion (after some error condition) is to vary the line off. The normal close would be to send +++ <2 second pause here> ATH to the modem (presuming a Hayes-compatible command set).
