I have this code, the program stays on the READE statement.

How long does it stay 'stuck' before you cancel the debugging session?If you don't allow WAITRCD seconds, it could be a record lock. DSPFDwill show you the value of WAITRCD, although you should understand thatan override may change this value too.


The other thing to check is the file's EOFDLY setting.
