No, but a bit difficult to sort it. <g> Actually there is a tool/product that one of the original developers of CPF (and user spaces) created. While this tool has limited market value, it does allow you to link together multiple user spaces. If you try to grab something beyond the 16MB boundary, the tool traps the exception and redirects you into another user space. Another option is mmap() and a "memory-map" file. However mmap documentation doesn't sync with what actually happens. The docs imply that an IFS file can be mapped to memory and when written to file/memory the file size will extend. However, this does not happen, and there is no PTF for it. -Bob Cozzi www.RPGxTools.com RPG xTools - Enjoy programming again. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Wiant Sent: Wednesday, January 11, 2006 4:33 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: Multi-field dynamic array Not that hard to open another user space if you reach the limit ;-) JPW The bitterness of poor quality remains long after low pricing is forgotten!
