RE: Built-in function %char

That's probably why I never noticed it.  It does not appear in the RPGIV
reference manual on IBM's site nor does it appear in the DDS reference.

Even if I had noticed it in the WDSC help, the explanation does not say
"leading zeroes will be included in the result" to me.

in Functions and selected %EDITC.  The word "editcode" in the syntax diagram
is a link to the table of edit codes.
