For you guys dissing WDSc last week: I went to Source, ILE RPG Help, Built
in Functions and selected %EDITC.  The word "editcode" in the syntax diagram
is a link to the table of edit codes.

Had this problem myself some time ago.  Use %EDITC(NumericField:'X').

Now go to the RPG or DDS reference manual and find where edit code X is
described. 

When you find it, please tell me where it is. :)
