Mike, Thanks for the example. This is similar to what we did except that we had created the message file in our program library and named it something else other than QRNXMSG. I do not think it will matter, but i will try to put the message in a message file qrnxmsg in qtemp and try the override. I will see if the RPG behaves differently with the message file overriden is the same name.
