The problem is that i do not know where in the process or which programs in the stack are going to fail. I do understand that the programmer should have coded these situations correctly and handled it, but we are just trying to come up with a solution becuase the coding was not done correctly and it is not feasible to change the code at this point. If the control was was given back to CL program that did the call, i would have been able to do this, but some times the RPG that gets a lock situation, seems to go into a message wait scenario without returning control to the CL, that did the original call.
