I ran into similar issues with the iconv APIs, and since Qp0lProcessSubtree returns its entries in Unicode, I had to use iconv to get the EBCDIC pathnames. It would be REALLY nice if the "invalid argument" error had at the very least a parameter number and offset that you could retrieve. Joe
