>There is effectively no syntax checking of /Free code in either SEU, CODE
or WDSC.

And depending how they implement it will determine it's useful-ness. For
instance, if I type a bif that is not found and they insert a line right
below the current line of code telling me my error, well, I am going to be
turning that off because it annoys the heck out of me (they currently have
some syntax checking: http://mowyourlawn.com/temp/rpgsyntaxcheck.jpg).

I am hoping they make it feel like the Eclipse Java editor which simply puts
a small tic mark in the far right of the editor and also underlines the
questionable code in a specific color (color depends on the error). Taking
the Java editor approach for the LPEX editor would make RPG coding extremely
efficient (meaning less compiles)!

It would be cool to have a voting ballot for features to include in the next
RPG LPEX editor. . . Hint hint to IBM'ers listening :-)
