CRTRPGPGM is for RPG/400 source. For RPG/II you would use CRTS36RPG. > All the RPG/II syntax would still work as an RPG/III program, > right? Those of us who are old enough might recall a S/34 to S/38 conversion tool that produced the dazzling new RPG/III source from our dull old RPG/II. There are a few things in RPG/II that won't compile directly in RPG/400, but don't ask me to tell you off-hand what they are. I think they're principally concerned with display handling. More importantly there are differences in the way the compiled program will behave. Converting RPG/II to RPG/400 is relatively straightforward, but it is still a conversion and not just a recompile. -- Dave... ______________________________________________________________________ This message may contain confidential information which may also be legally privileged and is intended only for the use of the parties to whom it is addressed.
