Dan, Here is the actual scenario. This is a MAPICS User Exit program that is used to call other programs. Now All the Mapics stuff is interactive until you press the execute button and it goes out and does it's stuff then call the user exit. At that point I call a small program called DBGWAIT which pauses the user exit so that I can get into it and start debugging. It is still under control of the active session. I don't know any other way to get the user exit to go into debug without the pause. These are all rpg400 programs so I can't use WDSC. Why are you doing a "wait state"? Can't you start the debugger for the interactive job first before running the program you're trying to debug? That's how the green-screen debugger works anyway. A simple google turned up http://www.itjungle.com/mpo/mpo073103-story02.html. I didn't bother to read it, but it looked like it might have the kind of information you're looking for. - Dan -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
