Any idea if we can use dynamic variable names in RPGLE?

One way is in the FAQ. http://faq.midrange.com Search for the words(file variable) The entry is 'How can I refer to a file as a variable?'It uses SQL. It isn't perfect, in that you will need to know quite abit about the fields you want to retrieve.

It seems to me that most people asking for this functionality are tryingto use XML. I personally love RPG IV, but I believe there are betterways to use XML than to hand roll RPG code.
