I recently had a similar need.  Scott Klement pointed me to the
QIBM_QWT_JOBNOTIFY  exit program. I goggled for it and found
http://www.rpgiv.org/QBATCHLOG.htm, which I was able to modify to fit my
needs. You may be able to make it work for you also.
