Which is to say, I've written lots of programs that use The Cycle as an event loop, and a few that use it to ride around an entire file, and a few that use it to ride around some chunk of a file (the prototype I've been working on does this on one of the two files it accesses through RPG-native I/O (everything else goes through SQL CLI). But I don't think I've ever had the need to use EVERY feature of The Cycle, because I don't really have much use for a band-driven report generator.
