I think Joe has an excellent point -- the "lack of human interface in email". It is hard enough to read some people when having a face to face conversation.... And Scott -- I can say that I have never been offended by anything you posted on the list..... You have provided a wealth of information to the readers of this list.... Especially when it comes to my questions on socket programming :) (oops -- sorry Joe -- it should have been <grin> -- lol) Mike -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joe Pluta Sent: Monday, November 14, 2005 3:33 PM To: 'RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries' Subject: RE: Lists, posts, and being offensive > From: Scott Klement > > I somehow always end up offending someone. A common complaint, and one I attribute to the lack of human interface in email. That's why I try to litter my posts (if that's not redundant) with <grin>s and the like, just to make it clear when I'm making a joke. And still we all sometimes write something that's a bit more caustic than necessary. We're human. > Why am I still here? The list would be diminished otherwise.
