This is from the IBM Advanced Programming Course AS10 (Oct. 2003):

"You can now call Java methods as easily as you now call procedures, and you
can write native methods in RPG as easily as ordinary subprocedures. There
is still extra coding required if you want to work with a Java object, like
a string.
For more information, read Chapter 11. RPG and the eBusiness World in the
V5R2 ILE RPG IV Programmers’ Guide."
