I see now what you are saying. Is it a solution along the line of what Scott suggested? I have an emotional bias against this solution because it creates so much superfluous code to provide such little benefit.. It may be that I will have to go this route in the end however. Thanks for your effort on this. --------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.martinvt.com --------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Date: 10/25/05 13:04:48 To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: subfile SFLFOLD/SFLDROP and cursor positioning Each time I pressed CF13, the RPG got control. I reset the SFLMODE and changed the *IN10. Then the FOLD/UNFOLD changed on display. It works but wastes a function key. CF14 is assigned to the FOLD/UNFOLD but is not used in the program. I reassign CF13 programmatically so that when it is pressed, the program reacts to it. Of course, CF14 is still active and will change the FOLD/UNFOLD. That is a waste, but the code accomplishes your aims. Marvin
