JMHO:

It won't matter very much to us.  we know what it is, what it can do,
and appreciate it's value.  renaming it might make us feel better
about discussing what we do at dinner parties though.

it won't matter to existing non-iseries IT professionals/language
bigots.  they will see it as nothing more than putting lipstick on a
pig, and will pay little attention.  It will have about as much an
impact as as/400 -> iseries -> i5.

meaning, not much.  nearly everywhere I go, they still call it AS/400.
 even if they changed the name, they'd still call it RPG on AS/400.

oh well...
