Hi Murali, sorry I sent the last message to early! the QCMDEXC-API has 2 required parameters and a third optional parameter. The first parameter is a character field with an length between 1 and 32702 Bytes containing the CL-Command to be executed. The second parameter is a 15,5 decimal packed field containing the length of the CL-Command passed in parameter 1. As long as you use a parameter list, it is not possible to pass a parameter with a different definition. If you work with prototyping, you can add the key word CONST to the second parameter. This allows you to use a different definition for the second parameter. The key word CONST causes that a copy of the parameter with the expected definition is created and the address of this copy is passed to QCMDEXC. For more information about the API QCMDEXC check the following link: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/ic2924/info/apis/qcmde xc.htm Birgitta -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]Im Auftrag von murali dhar Gesendet: Montag, 3.
