Another way? 

A) Move to RPG IV as you should whenever you make changes to RPGIII code.
B) If moving isn't allowed, create a "stub" RPG IV program that accepts a
date and uses TEST to verify it.

I Guess TEST op-code works only in RPG IV .For Testing a date in RPG 400
I think we need to get down to the crude method Or Is there any other
