Carel, KEEP is only needed in the scenario where PGMB's display file is closed after each call. It prevents filcker when returning to PGMA's screen. It has no effect when leaving PGMB's display file open. USRRSTDSP has always seemed obscure to me. As best I can tell it improves system screen handling performance under certain circumstances, but has no effect on the appearance of the final rendered screen. Including USRRSTDSP in PGMB's display file would not help screen performance because that program only issues a single record format, and calls no other programs. Whether including it in PGMA's display file would improve performance is unclear to me. I have read the manual and many explanations of USRRSTDSP, but none ever left me with a comfortable understanding. Anyway, unless you're in a dial-up environment I doubt you'd ever notice it's benefit. Thanks, Dave David Keck NBTY, Inc Phone (631) 200-5809 DavidKeck@xxxxxxxx David, Add the keuwords KEEP and USRRSTDSP to the WINMSG record format.
