This is my preferred method for setting the options!!

much better than depending on the compiler option or specifying with nc on all 
SQL statements.

Alternative option is to use SQL's version of the Hspec:

     C/EXEC SQL
     C+ Set Option
     C+     Naming    = *Sys,
     C+     Commit    = *None,
     C+     UsrPrf    = *User,
     C+     DynUsrPrf = *User,
     C+     Datfmt    = *iso,
     C+     CloSqlCsr = *EndMod
     C/END-EXEC

Notice the commit=*none?
