Just Check the SQLCOD or SQLSTT after each statement. To find the error message, combine 'SQL' and the absolute value of the negative SQLCOD to a message-id, i.e. -204 = 'SQL0204'. Then use WRKMSGF and the message file QSQLMSG to find the message text. By the way USING is wrong in the execute statement. You have to use USING if you specify parameter markers (?) in your text string and want to replace them by values stored in variables.
