POI/HSSF event listener

Hi Everyone,

I'm still trying to solve my column formatting issue, and Andy Oliver, one
of the developers of the POI/HSSF stuff says that in order to read the
ColumnInfo records, I need to register a listener for a particular record
type (e.g. ColumnInfo records in my case) with the HSSFEventFactory, then
let the HSSFEventFactory read the entire .xls and call my listener when it
reads a ColumnInfo record.

So my question is, can I write an RPGLE program or procedure that can act as
a listener?  Or would I need some Java program to be that listener and
somehow pass the record it receives from the HSSFEventFactory to my RPGLE
program?
